Cameron Thomas

Cameron Thomas serves as the youngest pastor of the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in its 150+ year history. Cameron serves as the youngest serving Vice-President in the entire state of Alabama in the Alabama State Missionary Baptist Convention.

Cameron was selected in recognition of the 50th anniversary of Samford University as the Audrey Gaston Howard award recipient highlighting African American alumni. He serves as chapter advisor for the Tau Iota chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He serves as active mentor for students on Samford University’s campus.

Cameron graduated from Samford University with an undergraduate degree in religion and Beeson Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree.
